Our Projects
GRF4UA aims to boost project potential during the early development stage through blended finance: grants, concession finance, green philanthropies, and impact investors.
We are derisking projects by applying for war insurance and guarantees provided by governments and financial institutions.
01

Green Finance
UASIF is advancing green finance by integrating Ukraine into the voluntary carbon market and facilitating Article 6.2 ITMOs trade. This initiative aims to attract investments in renewable energy, reforestation, and emission reduction projects, enhancing financial resilience in Ukraine’s energy transition.
By aligning with international carbon credit mechanisms, UASIF seeks to drive climate action, economic stability, and global sustainability cooperation.
02
Green Recovery
UASIF is accelerating Ukraine’s green recovery by fostering public-private partnerships to develop blended finance mechanisms that attract sustainable investments.
Through in-depth research and analysis, UASIF shapes evidence-based policies and financial instruments to overcome investment barriers and drive green financing.
It actively advocates for legislative reforms, including carbon pricing, tax incentives, and sustainability reporting, to integrate sustainability into Ukraine’s economic framework.

03

Coal-dependent regions transformation and smart cities development
UASIF currently supports two transformational projects related to green city infrastructure development.
Chervonohrad is a pilot project that aims to transform an industrial city in the West of Ukraine into a green industrial park. The local government incentivizes investors to build various RES plants, equip residential infrastructure with energy-efficient facilities, and improve waste management while shutting down the existing coal mines.
Vlasne Misto is a private initiative that envisions the development of a green, energy-efficient, and technologically advanced town that is convenient for sustainable life, recreation, and business.
04
Policy Research
UASIF collaborates with global institutions to assess the impact of Russia’s war on climate action, food supply, and energy security, partnering with Chatham House to analyse its effects on sustainability and energy policies.
It also promotes green finance for Ukraine’s resilience and reconstruction through initiatives with the International Renaissance Foundation and the EU, advocating for sustainable financial frameworks.
